In an effort to make the GPS Week Number Rollover (WNRO) update process as easy as possible for the end user, Microcom has enhanced the update utility.  This new update utility automates the update process by reading the GTX unit’s firmware version and internally selecting the correct firmware update files. 

Version 2.18A of the GPS WNRO Update Utility can be downloaded on the GTX-2.0 webpage by clicking on the GTX WNRO Update link.  For instructions, please click on the GTX WNRO Update Procedures directly below the GTX WNRO Update link.  Additionally, you can find a step-by-step video tutorial on Microcom Environmental’s YouTube Page. 

Again, we are committed to resolving this issue without impacting your data collection operations. We will be on stand-by to field questions and provide support for the firmware update installation.  Additionally, we have received the approval from NOAA that this update will not affect the transmitters’ GOES Data Collection System Certification and can be completed by the users.
